We get real-time insights about who our customer is and what they are doing on the Interviewer.AI platform. This insight helps us make better product decisions.
I wish we could slice and dice data more easily. Collated insights based on the type of audience personas instead of just filters to narrow down on the set of user behavior would be awesome.
It's helping us dive deeper into our product and how it's being used. We determine the health of the product by user behavior. Any significant deviations are looked into to make additional upgrades.
Event Management, cohort grouping and persona inspection in usage
The learning curve for new sales team members
Product analysis and user adaptation
Definitely the visualizations - you can take the same data and visualize it in various ways very easily. When the visualization fits the data, extracting insights becomes much easier.
I couldn't find a way to automatically exclude test users from my reports, so every time I manually cross off specific email domains and test environment URLs.
Product analytics. It benefits me greatly by allowing me to gain insights from my app's usage data.
I think the best part is the graphs and visualization that MixPanel offers. The graphs and dashboards can be saved and even the links can be shared across functions to ensure that another team is viewing the same data as you. With MixPanel it is easy to view campaign-level conversion funnels, retention and other important metrics, such detailing and accuracy in numbers are not supported by Appsflyer or Clevertap.
Mixpanel has so many reports and functions which almost yield the same result with slight changes, therefore it sometimes becomes difficult to understand which feature to use and when. Also I find it difficult to fetch mobile device id's of users who are are frequent users of app as well as web, so that I can negate them from my web to app conversion campaign.
- MixPanel is great in the sense that you need just one software for all the analytics use cases. - It helps us see how users are interacting on our app vs the website, and the step of maximum drop-off. - It also gives us a fair understanding of the forward flow of the user base. - With such a detailed analysis of user behaviours, it becomes easier for the product as well as marketing teams to adopt a better approach in terms of deliverables.
I have worked on over 20 platforms and in all of them I have used mixpanel, it's very easy to use and provides the product manager with all information needed to create a kick ass product
I wish that it includes some prebuilt dashboards to make it easier for junior product manager to get started easily, and it would be awesome if there were more details on how and what to capture
It helps me understand how users are using the product, it's a very quick efficient way for product management department to create dashboards for other departments as well
It's easy to find value on Mixpanel. I feel like it's flexible enough so I can customize my analysis easily and at the same time I don't feel afraid of "breaking" anything. As a non-developer, that makes me feel confident while using it.
If I could set experiments directly thru Mixpanel I think my experience would be complete. Today, we use launchdarkly, but having everything in the same place would be awesome.
Mixpanel is making measuring and interpreting results feel effortless. It also helps me explain the results, as the visualization it brings is clear.
It's really powerful and easy to use. Even no professional data analysts can use it at full power
The mobile app is not as powerful as the web browser version
We can finally measure and track the behavior of our users
Mixpanel offers the most detailed analytics and dashboards. Additionally, it gives us the ability to drill down into the user's activity of app events which is insightful and helps us identify issues with the workflow and provides ideas on how to improve the UX. We can make custom dashboards on Mixpanel and refer to them daily to monitor the performance of metrics which are most critical for us.
Without passing the correct user attributes and having perfect event instrumentation in place, there is not much we can do with MixPanel, therefore it still has a very high dependency on the data analytics team.
We have been using Mixpanel for more than two years now and with this, data makes so much more sense and we always get actionable inputs from the intuitive dashboards. Mixpanel also helps in establishing the efficacy of various Marketing Campaigns so that we allocate our marketing budgets more intelligently. They have also improved a lot on their UX and with the new fixes, we can see the whole dashboard on a single screen and do not need to do multiple scrolls.
> Speed of tool > Filters and tools for customization
> Scalability (e.g. no option to upload bulk user ids)
> Helps us track in real time how are customers behaving with our live streams
It's very user-friendly and easy to get up and running. There is also great functionality like 'flows' that is incredibly helpful and missing from other softwares like Amplitude.
There's nothing I particularly dislike, it's a very powerful tool so it can be a little overwhelming at times but once you use it more and more it gets more familiar.
It's helping me understand how users use our software and how to make certain decisions based on that usage of our product when it comes to making changes or adding in functionality.
Easy to use interface with tons of features Plenty of supporting material and content on the web to guide you A proactive team that supports their customers and reverts quickly on queries Frequent webinars for users at all levels to guide them through examples Startup credits to help you get started for the first year Easy integration with React Native (and other platforms) Dashboard creation with filters to consolidate metrics and KPIs
Understanding retention metrics can be complicated. Helping users understand the calculations through tooltips would be very helpful. Could have more competitive pricing for India.
We are trying to better understand customer behaviour once they are inside our application. Mixpanel is helping understand how to measure these metrics, so that we can build a strategy around how to better manage our customers. Mixpanel is also forcing us to pen down our north-star and focus metrics which is essential in having a clear target and then working towards it.
I like the flexibility and ease of creating different reports from the same data. I love the versatile tools Mixpanel offers and the ease of learning the platform.
I dislike the hidden feeling of reports. I feel there should be an easier access point for "my reports".
Mixpanel is helping my business track the users of our mobile app. It helps us see how often the app is used and it helps us decide if the app is useful for the company.
Things just make sense with Mixpanel. From my perspective, the product is able to simplify a complex job that would take hours to replicate and make it doable with a few clicks.
I think the dashboards could use some improvements. It becomes increasingly difficult to customize the format once you have more than 8 charts in the dashboard. It is painful to drag the charts around to the right spot.
It makes the task of understanding our users easier. Without the tool, you either rely on a data team to build your reports which usually take 10x as long or you learn how to build your own reports from scratch to gather insights. The tool cuts all that hassle out and delivers you user insights with a few clicks.
Flexible data structure Out of the box specialized reports for retention, engagement, etc Powerful identity service Multiple aggregation profiles possible (i.e. User/Company/Department, etc)
Cohorts handling is tedious - creating cohorts is slow and painful. Filtering and breaking down by cohorts is time consuming (selecting each cohort twice, default setting of 'not in XYZ cohort' is pointless to me)
Analyzing user behavior starting with acquisition funnel on the website. The identity service allows us to merge the anonymous users' data with their behavior after they convert.
Event tracking is the best when you try to choose where to improve between the features in your app
There is nothing that I dislike about the product so far.
Instead checking it manually, Mixpanel can show you the customers list that might churn
I love the extrememly useful UX of the product. Most data aggregation tools are so complex that I need to manually pull a report anytime my team members or stakeholder have a data question. With MixPanel, I can send them a link to a dashboard or report and have confidence that they can answer most data questions themselves.
I have yet to find anything I dislike about the solution. This is not the most helpful for a review, but I honestly haven't run into any hicups besides a report not loading once, and support reached back out with a workaround in under an hour
Easy able to create funnels, drill into workflows, or understand where users are going after the take a specific action.
2 things I like about Mixpanel: 1. It is extremely intuitive. As a Product Person, you probably don't need to ever look at the Guide to understand the tool. 2. The customer success team is extremely responsive. We have scheduled calls with Mixpanel Team & the response was quick and the team made sure that all out doubts are closed for the same.
3 things I feel Mixpanel can do better: 1. Flow Reports take lot of time to generate. Maybe, the queries that are running in the backend are too heavy. But I have struggled using Flow Reports & haven't really realised full utility of them, only because it takes a lot of time to generate. 2. It is not very clear how the global filter in funnels work. In-line filters are intuitive but entire copy around "last-touch, first touch" can be improved. 3. Mixpanel should also highlight if redundant events are getting triggered for the same action in the app. This just clutters flow reports. For example, If user visits cart, two events can trigger "Cart Viewed" & "Screen Visited" (with Property: Screen = Cart). These redundant events create confusion in flow reports.
1. We have set up important checkout related alerts using Mixpanel. Using Slack integration with get these in relevant channels to inform all stakeholders. 2. We have our daily tracker dashboard on Mixpanel, which has multiple funnel & flow reports. 3. Whenever we do an [A/B] experiment, Mixpanel's "Add/Edit" user profile tab comes in handy to add additional user properties to user_ids, we can then filter these users easily for creating funnels. 4. We are using "user" tab in Mixpanel to create dynamic audiences of users who perform certain action on the app. This become extremely important for [A/B] experiments involving non-logged-in users.
Have used mixpanel to track user experience in two different organizations, and had no problem with anything, the docs and functionality are so clear and smooth.
Need a way to display objects in mixpanel table and stats in reports.
using mixpanel to enhance user experience and the up-gradation of functionality that are mostly used.
Mixpanel is literally the best analytical tool that I've ever come across. I wish i knew it much earlier so I could reap its advantage.
More analytical tools such as a/b test and other tag management that GA offers.
Determining user behavior and seeing what works versus what doesn't.
Mixpanel is by far the most capable and flexible product analytics package I've used. We're finally able to answer all the questions we have about how people are using our product and getting many valuable insights about what to build next.
There are a few quirks to the reports that I'd like to see addressed (eg, AFAIK you cannot add two filtered views of an event to the same report) but nothing that's a showstopper by any means.
We've been relying on Google Analytics to learn how people are using our product, but it's always been clunky and difficult on both the implementation and reporting side. Now with Mixpanel, we have much more clarity about exactly what people are doing which is already guiding our roadmap in critical ways.
