Ease of use of the platform Powerful integrations with a range of 3rd parties Fast, stable and secure Great product support
Missing some key features required in more complex situations or when needed for mass scale. Great for single sites / single-site -trees. Currently working with approx 200 sites
Poor experience with our current platform - very outdated and lacking in any real development roadmap Poor experience for marketeers with current platform and very difficult/complex for those with limited knowledge Magnolia has helped to unlock both of these two key areas
Its extremely easy to change files on the fly and publish in matter of seconds
It would be good if somehow there is a way to being able to deploy core files e.g java
Building components, developing microservices and fro ntend modules...for the whole frontend part new features are amazingly easy to be deployed, tested and debugged...with ci/cd functionalities same can happen for the backend part too
I like how its easy and flexible the CMS , though you need some time to mentally learn and adapt to the system.
documentation not enough for developers if you want to extend the code so it needs some time to understand it
We used it as Content Management System . so creating content , publishing it , development of new component .
It is the best framework for CMS where we can easily manage our business needs.
The checkout flow in ecommerce. It will great if magnolia provides and develops the checkout flow in future.
We have migrated the ATG framework ecoomerce project to magnolia easily
The best part is the platform is nicely customizable, And support from the magnolia product team is always amazing.
There are some complex bugs related to personalization feature plus few related to extended features like language translation.
The product helps us in managing the content in a centralized way while maintaining many multilingual websites.
My experience is very positive, Magnolia is a great tool. It has allowed the business to manage multiple sites with a small content function.
CMS interface can be improved more, otherwise everything is perfect.
Implementation of web pages is very straight forward.
User-friendly platform. Fast, scure and stable. It is a very good product. I recommend you.
The absence of an administrative interface and the lack of process details are notable limitations of Magnolia. Integrating an administrative interface can be a challenging and intricate undertaking. Upgrading from previous versions can be costly and time-consuming, particularly due to compatibility issues between certain editions. Removing plugins can also pose difficulties. Additionally, managing Magnolia CMS requires handling two separate datasets—one for shared folders and another for remaining content. The administrative interface itself is considered complex and challenging to navigate. Furthermore, the initial installation process of Magnolia CMS may appear intricate and demanding.
Magnolia is a highly intuitive content management system (CMS) that excels in creating and advancing contemporary websites and applications. It enables seamless integration of our products or selective components. It is purposefully designed for extensive integration capabilities and operates as an open-source solution, empowering cloud services. With its cloud-based nature, there is no data redundancy, and its user-friendly interface ensures easy utilization. Accessible from anywhere at any time.
As CMS tool , the way template handling I've impressed very much.
While making the template inside the .asp pages spaces consideration gets defecult I've felt
I've used this CMS tool for company blog , before this tool there is no template handling ,after this we can easily handle with template side
It has prebuilt libraries which help a lot in smooth content migration.
Sometimes, I find the UI difficult to use.
I have used it for website content migration. It has less dependencies.
Magnolia CMS is not so difficult to learn. The learning curve is not that high as long as you know the basics. I also like the multi-site setup that they have, it allows us as a developer and as a solutions provider to maintain all sites in one application only.
The only thing I dislike about Magnolia is the documentation. They are not that updated and most of the time we have to look at everything and it is not user-friendly.
End to end solutions for our clients. I benefited from Magnolia CMS because it is my first CMS and I enjoy the experience and the learnings.
Easy to learn and work .. especially for beginners
Cross platform is little slow in loading
Integrating with any other database . It is required
The multiple features of components, dialog feature , different roles for security purpose and customization of the components.
The dislike is about the documentation and discussion forum other than Magnolia official documentation , there is no other source or discussion forums or help for the guidance of the customization or enhancement required for inbuilt features.
The clients can perform their own content management without involvement of the developers or without any code changes. This product is fantastic. It’s very user friendly
There is not one thing that I dislike about this product. It is a great product to use and is very quick
Magnolia helped my company run better and more sufficiently
Easy to create the pages and manage content
Sometimes layout is choppy when adding new components to the page
Product can create content and publish without developers help
The server is well organized, so it's easy to track chapters/files quickly.
When I have to upload and publish a file, I have to do so individually every single time. It would be nice if I could select multiple files and upload them at once.
I am uploading updated/edited files (textbook chapters) to update our teacher toolbox server. I like how it gets published right away, but it's very time consuming having to upload every single file (especially because I have to upload hundreds).
