Jira Core is one of the best tools for project management. You can customize the tool based on the scope of your project. This is an added benefit. Scrum, Kanban, and Agile boards make project tracking easy. Jira Core is easy-to-use software. Overall, it's a great project management tool for tracking projects on multiple levels.
Jira Core doesn't have many negatives. This tool is difficult to automate. The cost of the software is high compared to other software that offers the same feature in the market.
Jira Core helps us manage complex projects and track projects in a time-saving way. The dashboard helps to visualize the project with customization. Clearly, communication is done with the developer team using tickets.
Jira Core Cloud is free for small teams. Jira Core provides a platform for other applications and apps. Jira Software is for software development project management.
It is only for small team. The Software licences include access to Core, because Software is extra functions on top of Core and can't work without it.
Jira help us to solve the project management issues.
Easy to manage task , track status of your task etc
I cannot think of any such feature which i don't like
Task management and tracking status of task
The best thing in jira is the user experience, and the management of the different tasks with the integration of GitHub.
The thing which I don't like is, we can't get report for the past sprint which is closed.
The management of the project we done by jira.
Jira is an extremely useful product for project management. Having being used it for 3 years, i feel that the UI is super user friendly .
Only addition to the features that I can think of is alarming notification for P0 issues
Issue management for partnes outside my company to which we have integrated.
It's very easy to create tickets, tasks, and subtasks also very easy to track the tickets along with the time logging. The search feature is also very good, we can search on the basis of the task, name, etc.
The main thing which I dislike about the Jira is that we can not add the custom status for the tickets and tasks. It gets difficult to manage all the tickets according to the default status.
Project management have become very easier for us when we started using Jira. Now it's very easy for us to plan for the sprint and to have a birds-eye on the progress.
I like the accessibility of Jira Core. It has been very helpful for me to manage multiple projects and stay updated about each of them.
I think this product is great. However, it took me some time to set my grip on t. Maybe make it more user-friendly in future versions?
Jira s a good way to manage tasks and help everyone in the team stay on the same page. This is effective in terms of saving time and helping everyone track their tasks within an agile environment.
Very easy user interface, let you raise tickets in different predefined sections. Easy to manage. Can be hosted locally. Very customizable according to usage.
Mobile version of JIRA is not such good as its desktop version. Desktop version is very handy to use.
-> Project Managenent -> Team Management -> Hassle free ticket solving -> Assign tasks to responsible person
Jira core in terms of agile software ,it works best as it tracks different stages for dev ops perfectly
Little slow interface and complex one as well
Devops tracking , app tracking ,security reporting
A huge number of possibilities. You can do almost anything
The interface is confusing. Some functions doubled up in different places. Sometimes very difficult to use
Product development management. Conveniently, everything is within one system. It makes life a lot easier
This allows maintaining your work and workflow. save your time that you spend while discussing various requirements. To manage your team and track the work this tool is quite efficient.
Features can be expanded to more level and UI can be improved.
To manage your team and track the work this tool is quite efficient. My team is now able to schedule their work accordingly.
The task distribution and hours tracking reporting is simple and easy
The UI is not very attractive and sometimes its very slow
We are managing our Agile process using Jira
The ability to track tasks with coworkers and other team members.
Colleague can lock a task so you can't mark as complete. This has required me to waste time tracking down the person who locked it, and then getting them to either release it, mark it complete themselves, or give me override authority. As a result, time is wasted on an administrative task.
We have been able to coordinate well between my content department and the software development staff. If they spot a bug, they can bring it to my attention, and Jira will notify me. I then can either handle the issue myself or assign it to a subordinate, while tracking progress each step of the way.
1. i like the simplicity and the easy-of-use 2. It is easy to intergrate with github and slack so that multiple issues could be tracked in one place. 3. Easleir to create different releases and manage them , plus sending out release notes to the client 4. Adding new users and educating them about the tool 5. Creating different issues, and integrating with other add-ons for creating test cases and running regression tests
1. Sometimes it just takes too long to load 2. For some of the in-built tools like Xray, the users have to buy the licences 3. Unbale to load the images/files on a smaller screen computers/laptops
We are managing multiple projects using Jira, with a team spreaded all over the globe. The whole SDLC is dependent on Jira with the requirements being turned into stories. The developers then pick up the stories/bugs and create new pull requests in Github. Then the QA tests/retest the issues and close the issues. The stories can have sub-tasks as test cases that could break down the functionality for further testing.
Its user friendly and highly customizable
Layout of buttons is cluttered in some pages
We are using jira for project development using agile SDLC method. It has hleped us in managing stories.
Integrations with GitHub help track code for all efforts. Whether it is a bug or feature, it can help a lot of see when the code was changed and why.
Navigation; Depending on what you are trying to do and where you are trying to get to, navigation usually feels a big sluggish, clunky, and hard to use. There are so many options and features, but it can be hard to really just focus on the ones that I care most about.
We're using JIRA to coordinate our efforts across the team, but also track individual work done and reasoning behind code changes. It is really useful when the developer, QA, and PMs use this correctly and since it is open to so much customization it allows use to put in rules that help enforce good habits.
I really like how wide this tool is, it is incredible the management capacity that it has of the projects, and not only that but the way in which tasks can be divided, and the alerts with respect to the different deliveries, without a doubt It is the best project or task management tool I know. I really like that it offers diagrams of flows that are very visual to update the status of the project, it helps a lot for self-motivation and determination to complete projects as soon as possible. The details of the tasks can be very specific and offers some reports that are usually very useful at the time of showing or present that what has been done so far.
I think the only bad thing is the cost of subscriptions, but outside of that I think it's an excellent tool, even to manage physical and infrastructure projects.
I have benefited a lot from this tool because it has allowed me to manage the project at any time, to do it through this tool and to have all the professionals constantly update the progress of the project and in this way I will present the advances to the superiors, it is incredible how intuitive is the tool and how capable it is, I feel that it has many functions including many of which I have not been able to enjoy yet, but without doubt there are people whose demands go all the way there.
Easy to use, Perfect tool to manage big projects
Expensive, cost increases as number of user increases
Assign projects to multiple teams, see alive dashboard and progress

I am not sure if it is due to the type of version we use, which is on-premise, that some of the features and tools are only accessible through 3rd party applications.
It serves as a central repository for tracking work progress among multiple teams with built-in agile framework features.
