From my experience, Gitlab is an All-in-One Platform. Gitlab is allowing to my teams to work on multiple features or bug fixes and merge their changes easily. As well as GitLab provides features like code reviews, issue tracking, and merge requests.

Now on days, On the latest version of GitLab, Add some validation like one repository has just five numbers of flock users can create. as well as Upgrading to new versions, especially major releases, may require careful planning it is very hard to update Gitlab

As per my experience, GitLab has to Allow, after authentication allowing, teams to access, track, and manage code from a single location. And after the new update, they increase the pricing for the plans.

We have been using Gitlab from past few years and it was a very nice experience using it. The best part that we like the most is CI/CD.

Pricing can be better for SMBs. Recently they have increased their prices

It is mainly made for DevOps.I can easily manage my tasks, make different boards for different features, and track them separately,CI-CD pipeline gitlab has everything. The pricing of this product is also perfect.

Beginners can get overwhelmed by seeing so many things on screen, there should be a proper guide to make them familiar with it.

GitLab is a one-stop solution for us it handles pretty much about our software development currently we are using GitLab along with GitHub but we have started to shift evetything from github to GitLab

Specially GitLab helps to allocate your own space for your organization. Give appropriate security features to secure your information inside your organization.

Pricing is high compared to other git applications. But it will not be an issue with their performance which they are providing to the customers. Other than that, everything is good.

Gitlab helped me store source codes inside a reachable public space, and they provide facilities for version control of the application. Spacially, when sharing applications to the general security is a must need, and GitLab is the best place for it.

Integrations with other tools is awesome. Best feature is gitlab ci . Used extensively and loved it

Pricing is not good for individual developer.

Integrating Aws with gitlab ci was a piece of cake. Gitlab runners fast. Amount of customisation for gitlab ci is wonderful

I worked with different version controls but the best thing abt the GITLAB/GITHUB etc. is the three-layer architecture and especially the most beautiful and the convenient UI it has to view our changes differences with the source control and also almost all the IDE has the plugin integrated to check-in or check out the code directly from the IDE tools like eclipse or Netbeans. I like the main/master and feature branch feature very much, which helps maintain the clean code.

Frankly, I don't see much downside with the GitLab repository, but one point would like to mention about the pricing of the private repositories. It should include beyond basic features when it comes to the public repositories.

Has very beautiful built-in UI to review the code and add the comments then and there itself. Pull request to review the code before it is merged into the main branch or master branch, also see the changes made by the resource wise and count of commits made by each resource in the dashboard.
