I like the easy nature of the software. It has all the functions you need in the recruitment world.
Sometimes Bullhorn will give me some issues logging in. It's not the most attractive looking software, but it does the job.
We use BH as a full service ATS and we're able to keep track of all talent.
I love that I am able to sort through clients and candidates. great recruiting tool. It has an amazing gmail or outlook email integration. Easily able to track emails sent from recruiter to candidate. its used for filtering candidates, tracing their files, organizing the information, and tracking the record of everyone who is in process. Its feature of mass-email saves time and effort. I really love the mass email feature, I sometimes have 20+ candidates out on a particular assignment and it makes it super easy to send them all updates regarding the position. I also love that I can access bullhorn from any device, anywhere.
I dislike the search field where you go to search for candidates from certain backgrounds etc. it has way to many features and options sometimes not user friendly
Bullhorn does have its glitches as does any other software. sometimes I cant access tabs that I most desperately need to access, but its not that bad. Its major benefit is its Resume Wizard feature. it allows us to upload a copy of someone's resume and it automatically saves their information into the system. It is helpful, because I dont have to go field by field entering in their info. It saves A LOT of time.
It is very easy to use, easy to implement and user-friendly. It offers a great customer service and provides regular updates of the software. It can operate multiple functionalities at once. It has an integration with other tools such as Outlook and Gmail. It is used for filtering candidates, tracing their files, organizing the information, and tracking the record of everyone who is in process. Its feature of mass-email saves time and effort.
It does not offer iOS or Android mobile applications. Due to so many features, the user interface becomes clumsy and under-provided. Making different notes and shortlisting status through bullhorn is a tedious task. It does not allow you to create an excel sheet directly from a tear sheet and cannot print the task list directly from it. Reporting using bullhorn is a difficult task due to tracking problems.
Bullhorn is one of the finest recruiting tools. It is very easy to use, very fast, consistent, and user-friendly. Communication between different team members through bullhorn is outstanding. You can easily send notes to email accounts to confirm that they are seen. The interface is very helpful in tracking the record of candidates within no time. It also saves time in quick searches, contact details, resume submission, and other details.
The ability to sort any and all clients, jobs, contacts, prospects and groups into manageable lists is the best feature. In terms of CRMs, Bullhorn is far superior to any other comparable product. It is easy to integrate into other apps, making swift use for the full recruitment lifecycle easy!
There is a broad variation between the enterprise edition and the standard edition. It would be great if there wasn't such a tier in the software, although it makes sense for product commercialism.
Bullhorn enables great tracking and management of candidates. It stores personal data exceptionally compliantly, and makes removal of data very easy. It is also fantastic for all requirements surrounding business development, making it easy to track progress through the whole sales cycle.
I enjoy the accessibility of the application & the Dice sidebar integration is great. Allows the user to access candidates easily through BH.
Every now & then the menu bar will double or freeze & I'm unable to do anything on the page or app. Also improve the usability on the mobile app.
Candidate control & documentation.
Mass emailing Tear sheet Bullhorn learning
Search feature sometimes does not spit out the best results.
We are trying to reach our candidates as quickly as possible to meet to needs of our clients.
The ease of adding candidates and jobs -
Does not move certain processes forward automatically
All applicants are kept in one central location
I enjoy being able to easily use the reports and tying them into the dashboard so that our consultants can easily see their metrics. Plus working on the back end of JobScience is easy as well!
In the beginning we had the option to chat with Support in JobScience. I wish they would bring that back as it was quicker to get the answers needed.
We have solved tracking issues and being able to track candidates through the recruitment process more effectively
I love how user friendly Bullhorn is. It definitely keeps us all on track and organized.
How sometimes the system does not save all of my notes.
Bullhorn helps keep us organized, up to date, and solves communication glitches.
JobScience contains a number of job posting templates which users can edit and send to online boards and social media channels. As candidate resumes arrive, the system can capture key applicant details, rate candidates on a 100 point scale for potential recruits and send out automated email responses.
The search function could definitely use some improving, however, there are easy ways to work around this to find the right candidates within the database including running reports, looking at previous, similar requisitions.

What I love most about Bullhorn is not only the easy interface but also their partnership with vendors. They have a marketplace that allows you find so many great tools to help your business and they all integrate with Bullhorn!
They have some things that are hard coded that I wish we could change. Also, they tend to tell customers about new features and give a date that it will be live but it usually takes longer than expected. For example, they said the new version would be rolled out in July and when I spoke to them about when we would be getting it they said it would be closer to December.
Our company lives in Bullhorn. It is where we can see all our employee activity and keep track of our candidates and clients.
The notes feature helps with synchronization and teamwork. Each record has a lot of information that helps with having to go to other records to see the same information, it's all connected.
There could be more customization in the field mapping and users.
Working better as a team using Bullhorn as a tool to link all of the information together.
We have been a Bullhorn Customer for over 7.5 years. Our business has grown over that time as has Bullhorn as a company. They took the feedback from their customers to make a better product and they have continued to build upon this every month with new features and functions. Not every new feature will change your business but there is usually 1 or more every month that you will use. Some are ground breaking and others just enhance the existing offering.
The product is great and I would encourage trying to use as much of the technology through configuration versus customized automations. The more customization- the more opportunities for failure in the system. We have some great automations built in but we could probably live without some of them and remove some issues.
We are trying to reach our candidates as quickly as possible to meet the needs of our clients in the most efficient way. Our team is North American with many national clients. We need to keep the teams up to date on what is going on with roles, clients and candidates. Bullhorn has helped is solidify a process to manage this process.
JobScience runs on Salesforce.com's platform - which allows for a very customizable design. The reporting and analytical capabilities are solid.
The overall searching for candidates can continue to improve. For us, this mainly includes Candidate Match against Open Jobs.
We store and categorize our candidate pool in several different ways. Track employee KPI's. Email marketing.
The ease to maneuver between screens to view information.
It's sometimes difficult to find someone if you don't have the exact spelling of their name.
We use it to store information on our consultants and also for all our job orders.
Like the ability to add fields that might be specific to us - also like that we can update different drop down boxes using terms that we use. User friendly; Support is very quick and helpful.
Reporting could be better (we use InsightSquared to solve that for now).
Keeping track of pending submittals. Trending information to take a look at which customers bring us the best bang for our buck.
I love that Bullhorn is customizable for large and small organizations. I've used at Enterprise orgs and smaller agencies and each time has been decent for searching candidates and managing documents or files for offers etc.
If you are using Bullhorn at a smaller company, beware that automating processes like end-dates and candidate status will cost extra money that you might not be willing to spend. If you can afford to automate some of those features, do it! It will save a lot of time and keep your back-office less hectic.
I've used Bullhorn for tracking and searching a large database of candidates, submitting internally and externally to clients and account managers, managed offer documentation and billing/invoicing through Bullhorns various features.
Its easy to use and makes everything organized.
Creating tear sheets needs major improving.

Very user friendly. Very easy too navigate through. Is great for tracking applicants and for the entire recruiting process from start to finish. Another thing about Bullhorn that I find unique is how fast and easy it is to do a Help Desk ticket or chat, they know the system and are very eager to help and to resolve any issue that I have.
The only thing I can say about the dislike is more on the user and not with Bullhorn itself. I haven't learned everything about Bullhorn more so because of time and I feel there are still functions that would benefit me and help with my day.
The benefits are definitely the start to finish process on an applicant, Its set up for every area of recruiting and credentialing which is great for our type of staffing.
Integration! We have realized a clear, positive benefit from Bullhorn's ability to integrate with other software. We have our background check vendor integrated within our CRM platform and by doing so have saved a great deal of time and money as a result.
User interface could use some attention to detail in certain areas to make navigating through multiple windows more seamless. Data speed - We all want to work faster. Bullhorn can sometimes be a bit sluggish with the transmission of data.
We recently merged with another agency. The fact that both agencies used Bullhorn allowed for a much smoother transition during the merger process. Bullhorn is also well-suited for specific data retrieval. I run monthly reports to extract current employee detail in order to determine eligibility for employee benefits. By keying in a few date parameters, I'm able to see an accurate list of eligible employees.
