Works well for Twitter. Using it I built my followers to over 2k.
Nothing much to mention. It got the job done!
I used it to grow my Twitter followers and it's great for the built-in functionalities there.
If you're just starting out with social media scheduling, Buffer is great! It's intuitive and has a very simple platform that is easy to work.
I'm not terribly impressed by their analytics and the cost of the software. While it's decent, there are lots of other platforms that offer the same for free.
Scheduling ahead of time has been a savior in the social media world. It's great not having to worry about posting on a daily basis.
I like how easy to use this is. When I'm creating my posts, I can put them straight into Buffer to check for length and format. Though we don't use it anymore, I also enjoy the "review" option to allow someone to review your posts before they are scheduled. I appreciate the scheduled times being inputted automatically that show when most people are visiting any given site (FB, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.), so you don't even have to think about it.
I wish the review feature was not an additional paid feature, as it seems like such a basic option to have. When there is an error posting and you update the information (ie. incorrect login details), it automatically posts everything that had been previously scheduled without confirming you want to do that, which can be inconvenient. I wish I could see the post layout with the photo included before the post is sent. More features could be included but it's basic-ness make it so user friendly. It does not allow for re-tweets or tweets of articles which is a pain.
The benefits are having all of your social media in one place. It saves time and therefore money on labor having to go to each platform individually. I also was not expecting to benefit from using it as a character counter for my posts that I create outside of the program.
I liked the ease of using Buffer. It was really easy to write and schedule tweets - and to rearrange them, if needed.
There isn't anything that sticks out as something I disliked while using Buffer.
I used Buffer to manage a client's Twitter account. She had me scheduling multiple posts each day, and Buffer made that really simple. All I had to do was log in, write up the posts and include images and links... and it took care of the rest!
It is very efficient to use. You can adjust every post in a fast and easy way.
There are no suggestions about what timing is best to use for different kinds of posts
Continuity in our social media updates. It became very consistent and easy to use. The add-on for google chrome makes sharing articles even more easier.
When it comes to organizing and executing on your content strategy, you would be hard pressed to find a solution better than Buffer. The scheduling and integrations make it easy to share your content across channels in order to make sure you increase the reach of your audience. The software is easy to use and I like that it integrates neatly into your browser. I am a bit of a reader. And it's nice to know that when I'm feeding my brain if I like what I consumed, I can easily share it across multiple networks rendering almost equal to the native platforms.
Sometimes the web integration can get a little needy. It can be a hinderance when you don't necessarily want to share something. The tool needs much better admin for collaboration. It's very difficult when you are a doing an employee activation campaign for example to achieve this. It also makes life very difficult when you want to have someone outside your domain like a 3rd-party manage your posting to give them the right permissions and access levels.
Content amplification.
I like the ability to work as a team within the software for review/approvals. This creates a lot of visibility and transparency for the team. I also love the auto link-shorten feature.
Sharing the same post on multiple platforms is a little confusing, because it doesn't show you how the post would look on each platform. And my posts defaulted to a scheduled time that I didn't originally set, so you have to play around with the default settings.
We recently switched to Buffer to enhance our scheduling and team collaboration. I like the calendar feature and the teamwork aspect.
I like managing multiple accounts in one place and having the options to move posts from one profile to another. It's easy to use on mobile and PC and I like that you have the option to view a month at a time.
The view and move options could be more smooth, especially a the month level. It's frustrating there's in a storage location for saved content that is not yet scheduled, which is important for curation accounts.
Buffer cuts time spent on social media management drastically! If you are only managing one account on multiple platforms you will see value but the real value is when you are managing multiple accounts on multiple platforms. The amount of time this app has saved me is huge!
Buffer is great for scheduling. After links are added, image previews make it easy to see what your post will look like and if you want to edit it, you can do that one by one.
Not good for finding influencers or for monitoring (brand or keyword).
Social media scheduling, monitoring, and engagement. I really like the interface and the scheduler and post composer.
It is convenient and easy to set up. simple.
the interface can be ugly, other than that not much
no problems yet.
Buffer is great for generating content for corporate blogs.
There is not much to dislike, since it is not the main platform used for blogging.
Buffer is useful for finding relevant, filler content for the corporate blog.
The cost starts at just $10 which is super affordable compared to most platforms available. The calendar view is great and lets you see everything you have scheduled. You can also move posts around and re-arrange them. It's really easy and straightforward to use. There isn't much of a learning curve if you aren't that tech savvy.
I had some issues with scheduling posts versus queueing posts. Even though it lets you choose the time off the schedule, it doesn't fill in the time slot and will schedule multiple posts for 1 time slot.
It's a great affordable way to schedule social media posts. If you aren't scheduling frequently you queue up to 10 posts for free.
I use this in my freelance social media work, and it's easy for me to open an account for a client and quickly walk them through the basics of scheduling and monitoring content. They can easily move things around and see what I've scheduled on their behalf. Most of my clients are people who are unfamiliar with social and need something very basic, so this works well.
My one gripe is the inability to tag pages on Facebook. This makes it difficult to bring others into the conversation on my clients' pages, which are generally in the early stages and looking for any opportunity to grow and increase awareness.
Buffer has solved the issue for me of giving my clients an easy way to see my work across their platforms in one place. They're generally only using Twitter and Facebook, so I can set up a free account on Buffer for them and let them access everything easily.
Buffer is clean, simple, and reliable. I love that it does exactly what I want it to, and there are no "catches" or hidden features. We've been using this system for over a year, and pay for the "Awesome" plan. We haven't really had a problem at all! We feel like it's definitely worth the money, and wouldn't try anything else at this point. We have had other options in the past, but don't feel like they worked. They were way too complicated and had features we didn't need and didn't ever express interest in. Overall, I would say that Buffer is for everyone!
I wish graphics were displayed bigger. The interface could use some help, but overall it's okay! I wish it also showed a monthly calendar, where you could see the entire month at once without having to scroll. It's also kinda weird looking to switch from social media platform to social media platform. I wish the overall layout was different.
We post consistently and faithfully because of Buffer. I love that I can see a whole month's worth of posts at a glance, and it lays them all out for me for organizational purposes. I like that it's extremely easy to use. I'd recommend it to anyone.
I like that Buffer offer free service for a starter. And I like that Buffer now offer Buffer for Instagram.
Nothing to dislike. More on something to improve on features, which are payment method (they should have PayPal option) and Analytic for Buffer Pro plan.
I can start to manage my social media account as soon as possible without hassle. It's easy to use.
I like that I can post to multiple accounts from one app. I like that there are suggested schedules for when to post. I like the simplicity of the interface. I like that I can share right from a website with the plug-in. I like that there's a good mobile app.
I don't like that I can't use filters when posting photos.
Helps to post regularly without needing to be constantly on my phone.
Buffer allows you to schedule posts based on your own desires. You can set up a daily/weekly schedule. You can also use it to post the same item to multiple channels. You can also post directly from Buffer itself, if you're wont to do that type of thing. It works well on desktop and mobile devices and works well with a variety of tools - like Reeder for example. I can post interesting articles right from the Reeder app using Buffer!
There's really nothing to dislike about a free tool with a good user experience.
I don't want to blow up people's feeds when i'm catching up on blog posts and articles, and I used to have to save URLs and headlines in a notes app - or even in an email. Now I don't have to do that thanks to Buffer! Just load it up and it will post per your set schedule! Makes things much easier, and helps you with engagement.
I love the button that shows up when using Twitter natively that allows you to schedule retweets. enabling you to have a constant, spread out flow of publishing on Twitter throughout the day.
I wish that it could be built into more tools, such as Tweet deck of other SCMS systems.
Solving the problem of constant publishing.
It is a free service and does not over complicate social media posting. It is easy to schedule (and reschedule) my posts in advance, and the amount allotted for a free account is generous. In general, I prefer posting from this application, especially because of the analytics provided.
It does not do a great job of customizing posts for various social media platforms, so I make a separate post for twitter and facebook.
It makes it easier to schedule posts in advance, and when something comes up, I can reschedule those posts to make room for immediate posting needs.
The menu bar plugin has proven the best way to use Buffer—super convenient and easy to implement.
The limited number of posts that I can schedule.
I use Buffer to schedule tweets, Facebook posts, and LinkedIn notes, promoting the content from my site with our readers. It's fast, easy, and convenient.
