The demo that we were shown looked awesome. Feature-rich and easy to use.
(a) Mis-selling; (b) Switching off features between a trial vs paid subscription despite verbal assurances to the contrary; and (c) Refusal to provide refund. I spoke to a sales team agent, who heard my requirements and budget during a demo, then pitched me a product that was $2,000/month. This didn't align to the pricing on the website, so I asked a colleague from a different office to set up another demo. The price they were quoted was around $800 annually. In a proposal sent through on email, the features listed did not align to any of the packages on the website (the wording was kept deliberately different in order to not allow us to compare packages and pricing). We asked multiple times why we were quoted different prices, without response. Thereafter, we are given a few days of trial. We were happy with the trial and made the annual commitment. When the product was activated (i.e. no longer a trial), some of the features disappeared. We asked why and were again given no clear explanation. We then asked for a refund and were told (copied verbatim) "I won't be able to offer refund without knowing the exact reason for choosing to move out." The reasons were as above, and outlined in several emails. Our cancellation request came within a few business hours of the payment being made. However, the Airmeet team mandates I needed to get on a call with them with my team (not just me, but I had to bring two other colleagues that were involved during the trial!) and thereafter they would assess whether we could get a refund.
We were trying to upgrade from using Teams/Zoom type of experience to something with richer features and engaging delegates experience. We cancelled the product within a few hours of signing up for an annual subscription because we were missold the product. However, we did move to another similar vendor, and are happy with it.
