It is a lot easier than "full" Photoshop. I mean, if you're not graphic designer the functionality of Photoshop Elements will be more than enough for you. In the same time, you won't get lost because everything seems to be simplified. You can still do everything you need in your daily work, like editing photos etc but you won't be overwhelmed by a lot of stuff you do not need.
Application requires a lot of disk space. Because of that it may cause your system to work slower. Powerful computer is required for this app to work smoothly. Also, it may be a problem for some users that Photoshop Elements is not integrated with Adobe Cloud.
It allows me to edit pictures before I upload them to our company website. I do not need to go through all the functionalities I do not use. It is simple to learn and allows me to do everything I need.
Great bit of software that covers all the areas we need here. It is easy to use and has very useful tips to go along with the project.
Like most Adobe products when they have an update it is not a little one and you find thing have moved and it can take a couple of hours to get your head around it again.
Gives us more freedom to edit and improve our marketing campaigns
Many commands and options for different solutions
Sometimes slow to save changes and menu too complicated
Great lightness and improvements of dark pictures
Most helpful is the ability for me to create slideshows to share with our Board of Directors at their bi-monthly meetings. It provides me the opportunity to give them a first hand look at what happens at our organization daily without them having to be here to witness everything. I am able to group pictures in an easy manner. Once i was able to really understand the program I was able to do more with it. I like that I am able to share with those outside our organization what happens inside our organization. The software really enables us to share our story on a different level
When first introduced it was hard to understand and utilize the software but once I took time to explore it everything became easier. Wish there was a simple way to import pictures. And an easier way to save, I often get nervous I've done something wrong
Our board was disengaged, by showing the slideshow the see what is happening and understand better what we do on a daily basis. It is a wonderful way for us to capture and share what happens at our organization with those that support up.
I like the simplicity of it, I often use this when I'm low on time and no exactly what I want to edit
Not as many functions as other photoshop apps, but still an efficient amount of functions
Time saver, easy to teach others how to use it and user-friendly
The interface is simple and has photo and image tools, illustration etc and the cost is also good i mean at $79.99 as an upgrade
The program does not include vector tools
Photoshop elements helps me taake photos to the next level using some extraordinary set of tools
I have somewhat basic photo editing needs and prefer this version of Photoshop because it just has all the tools I need with little else.
I would prefer that the icons were the same on both Elements and the full version of Photoshop .
I use Elements to edit photos for our website - many of us do. It's a cost effective solution for us.
How easy editing can be for beginners or the level of detail a more experienced user can delve into.
There are so many things that Photoshop can do that I feel behind in learning to do new things.
I use Photoshop for mocking up images to show how something could look in real life without having to physically create the outcome first. I also edit photos that are used in marketing materials.
It has a lot of features and options, such as automated collages and slideshow assist,Guided edits,Multi-Photo Text,Partial Sketch,Text and Border Overlay and many more.there are so many things you can do with this softare, the possibilities are endless.
The only problem that i have is that its expensive, its also has a steep learning curve.there are some other softwares out there for cheap with the same options as photoshop elements but nonetheless its great.
I use this software to create various photo edits,i even use this to create memes.
I started using Photoshop Elements with very little experience in photo editing. It was very easy to use and the photos turned out incredible (as if a professional photographer had done the finishing)! You can easily upload photos to the software and can edit from any device - desktop, laptop, tablet, or even mobile device. Photos are stored to the Cloud, making it easy to not lose your work and accessed across your devices. Another cool feature is the ability to combine photos and make 3D photos. The photos edited were used on our business website - that's how professional looking they were!
When I first started using this tool, I found the 3 levels (quick edit, guided and expert) hard to understand and navigate. Each one has it's own tools, which made it hard for someone who had never used an editing tool before. The quick edit gives you tools such as cropping photos, rotating, fixing dimness, etc. while the higher "levels" have the tools to make photos 3D, combine 2+ pics together, etc. You need to really familiarize yourself with the software in order to have a feel for all the features it offers. Also, the photo organizer is a separate software.
Being new to photo editing, I was looking for a tool that is straight forward, easy to use, has basic editing capabilities while also having more comprehensive capabilities. Some of the great features I've enjoyed are the ability to remove red eyes, combine photos (so can put 1 good pic of someone with another good pic of the other person), and the ability to move objects somewhere else in the photo.
Photoshop elements is a super easy platform for editing. You can even do it on your phone.
The app can be a little challenging to use sometimes
Editing photos
Not having to own or load the full version of photoshop for small edits and adjustments
I feel this program can stand to incorporate more features from photoshop.
its has impacted my workflow when having to take small portions of our art assets and make adjustments/edits.
Easy to use interface, easy to navigate and a good software for beginners to get the hang of.
Lack of options/brushes. I wish there were a way to download brushes onto your phone the same way you’re able to using the original photoshop on the computer.
Not really “solving” anything, but it is beneficial in time crunching situations when I need to get the job done in a short amount of time but still do a professional job.
Photoshop Elements is very easy to use and is ideal for users who do not need the advanced features of the standard Photoshop application.
For those who need to perform heavy-duty photo editing, Photoshop Elements may not have adequate features.
I mostly use Photoshop Elements to crop and enhance the quality of photos and other graphics for use in operator manuals.
Easy to learn, alot of features. Good for beginners who want to do simple but nice edits
Would like it if it would show you how to do more complex things for the next level
Allows me to do brochures in house rather than spending alot of money on a company
Simplicity of interface depending on the size of device using it on
Lacking all features of Photoshop and really requires the use of multiple apps to get efficient productivity
None!
This is the beginning and end of all webdesign. I don't think it ever HAS gotten better than PSE. I am given full access to customization, coding, and all features that I could possibly WANT.
In all honesty, I do not have anything negative to say. It gives total control, and if you don't know how to do something, youtube is always there to help.
We are able to implement our own unique takes on our retail website.
Available on many platforms, simple and basic intro to adobe.
Too simple. I prefer photoshop or illustrator.
It's not solving any problems for me in the businesses I use.
Easier to use than the full blown Photoshop - easier to learn, implement and gets the basics done well.
No dislikes to mention - other than the fact that it doesn't do all that Photoshop does, it's a great basic version that gets the job done on simpler projects/needs.
Streamlined our marketing efforts and has assisted us in processing images in a more efficient manner.
It's easy to use and works well for our needs
The most recent version, 2019, doesn't work in full screen (Spaces) mode on a Mac.
We use Elements to layer renderings created by our CAD software to create a single elegant rendering that clients love
