How fast the templates can be created and adjusted. Plus seeing them in browser is nice.
Definitely took some time to get used to
I use dreamweaver for web design and coding. It makes my life a lot easier for creating base templates.
Autocomplete for code items, and error reporting by line.
So many tools that I can't even begin to use.
Email and front-end development
Very easy to use and allows new comers the opportunity to learn with the auto code feature.
Some times the features can be a little clunky but are usually fixed quick with an update
Coding websites and landing pages. We have the ability to do so efficiently and fast.
I appreciate how quickly Dreamweaver CC updates the preview while you are coding unlike other applications that often experience lag.
Something I am not a fan of about this product is that sometimes due to current CC complications, it has difficulty linking up to outside files.
Making the digital experience easier to navigate and more aesthetically pleasing.
I like that it is easy to use and it is secure.
I don't like that it crashes and we lose time around that.
We solving the ability to give our team a safe upload of docs to production.
I like the dual view option. It really helps to find your place and makes your work much easier.
There's no search bar when looking for something specific.
We're saving both the design and IT departments from doing additional work that marketing can now handle.
I best like the Split view option! Also the widgets included.
The software is fine, no futher changes needed..
I can update and maintain my wordpress blog using dreamweaver. I can add widgets of my liking to the blog or website. The split code view lets me see if I make a mistake with any coding.
I like how I'm easily able to go between local files and my remote server. I like that for the most part, it's pretty easy to figure out
I wish there would be a few more options without having to write codes for it - like wrapping text around an image
We update our website using Dreamweaver - it's made it a lot easier to stay on top of our website
Simplicity compared to alternative software. Great user interface. Easy enough that a beginner can pick things up rather quickly but advanced enough that a professional can still use effectively.
Flash is a weakness. Some toolboxes can be better organized.
Quick and easy way to make websites.
I love how easy Dreamweaver is to use. I literally have no idea how people write code without it
There’s not too much I dislike about it as I don’t do anything too intense with code.
None.
I best like the code snippet option whenever I am creating a site.
The ftp upload doesn't always work, it stops and sometimes even skip pages during upload,That needs to be improved.
With Dreamweaver I can create and manage my personal web sites free of charge, the way I want it to look! I can also sell themes created with Dreamweaver to those who need a skin but lack the creative skills.
The different features that Dreamweaver offers. Compared to other programs of its kind it offers more options.
The usability could be easier, especially for someone that does not have a strong background in web design.
Using Dreamweaver offered benefits and flexibility that other programs did not offer.
One of the best parts of Dreamweaver is its integration in the Creative Cloud so that other Adobe products inter-operate very easily. The other component I've always enjoyed in Dreamweaver is different device targets and being able to preview across many resolutions, devices and browser standards. The templates generally create clean code and that is a great plus as well.
For testing PHP, I still prefer to conduct some tests in separate IDEs that are more comprehensive in debugging and documentation generation. I wouldn't hold this against Adobe, this is one of the most comprehensive platforms I've used (all the way back to Macromedia days). I am not always able to get load times/performance with just this tool, that could be improved but it doesn't seem all that necessary in this tool since I mainly focus on content.
I am able to create standardized formatted pages VERY quickly for our intranet sites. Moreover, I am able to organize and create themes for different organizations and Dreamweaver has been key to staying organized. Our small business likes to stay independent from CMS or other pooling tools for our internal sites, this has been my goto for keeping consistency across different teams.
The ability to preview content on mobile devices
How difficult it can be to get the site responsive across all mobile platforms
Building our own websites
I typically use Dreamweaver for creating emails. I love that you can immediately see any changes you make to your code in the design view. Being able to click on an element on the design view and jump to that place in the code is also really helpful.
With one of the recent updates, the refresh button disappeared and it doesn't always update the changes you make until you leave the file you're working on and come back to it.
Email design - I'm probably just touching the surface of the capabilities of Dreamweaver, but it does everything I need it to as a designer first and foremost.
The user-friendly interface and intuitive editing helps make quick edits and solve issues faster. I love that I can bold, italicize and quickly solve issues with key-board shortcuts rather than having to code every little detail.
Would love to see more intuitive editing options
HTML code issues for Marketo emails and Druple website designs
I love that this program was designed with the artist in mind. Every tool is mean to optimize the creative experience.
This program has a steep learning curve. You have to spend a very large chunk of time mastering this program.
This program is being used tailor our websites to our exact visions.
The amount of customization an individual can do with both HTML/CSS is almost limitless. Pair this with the function to preview your design from within the program and it is a great addition to the Adobe suite. Option for a darker workspace is a new option that was not available in older CS versions.
Can be a bit overwhelming to learn for an inexperienced user but there are numerous tutorials online to pick up on the functions of all the tools within Dreamweaver.
Updating our company website and going for a more modern look for both our end and user-end interface. It is also very useful when updating or editing any design features of a wordpress website.
With a little practice and learning, dreamweaver is very user friendly.
You have to have a moderate understanding of HTML in order to be able to use Dreamweaver and create the outcome you’re hoping for.
I mostly use DW to create HTML emails and use it to edit HTML for the websites I work with. I find it easier to use than editing directly on the wiziwig.
Ease of use and functionality. Makes template creation and alteration very simple.
Closing tags placed automatically after opening tags are frustrating when altering templates. Easy to miss if you're not looking!
Newsletter email designs. Makes creation far easier than any other software used and layouts can easily be altered to suit. Very powerful.
